Saudi Film Commission and Bona Film Group Sign MoU to Boost Cinematic Collaboration and Cultural Ties Between Saudi Arabia and China

The Saudi Film Commission and China's Bona Film Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost cultural and cinematic collaboration.
The agreement was signed during Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan's visit to China and covers film distribution, exhibition, and talent development.

The ceremony was attended by Prince Bader, Film Commission CEO Abdullah Al Eyaf, Bona Film Group CFO Qi Zhi, executive director Jiang Defu, and Chinese actress Li Bingbing.

This partnership marks a significant moment in Saudi-China cultural relations.

The text is about a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Saudi Arabia's Film Commission and China's Bona Film Group.

The partnership aims to promote investment in the Saudi film industry, establish a joint film fund, distribute Saudi films in China, and develop Saudi filmmaking talent through collaborations with Bona Film Group productions and Chinese educational institutions.

The agreement aligns with the Film Commission's goals to develop the local film industry, enhance production capabilities, and internationalize Saudi cinema.

It also reflects the Commission's strategy to stimulate investment, foster talent development, and establish favorable regulatory frameworks.

The MoU is a significant step towards achieving Saudi Arabia's objectives under Vision 2030, which emphasizes global partnerships and cultural exchanges.

Bona Film Group, founded in 1999, is a major player in the Chinese film industry, recognized for its blockbuster hits and commitment to cultural exchange.

The collaboration between the Saudi Film Commission and Bona Film Group signifies the strengthening relationship between Saudi Arabia and China, as well as their shared cultural history.

This history includes China's participation in the Janadriyah Cultural Festival, the organization of archaeological exhibits, and the establishment of a King Abdulaziz Public Library branch at Peking University.
