Saudi Commerce Minister Meets US Business Leaders: Boosting Economic Ties and Exploring New Opportunities
Saudi Arabia's trade relations with the US are expected to strengthen following a meeting between Saudi Commerce Minister Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi and US business leaders.
During the talks in Washington, Al-Qasabi emphasized the strong economic ties between the two countries and highlighted the progress made in Saudi Arabia's economic transformation, which has led to the emergence of new sectors and business opportunities.
Al-Qasabi also spoke about the Kingdom's ambitious plan for 2030 and the strides made towards achieving it.
A meeting took place between the Saudi Arabian and US chambers of commerce to discuss ways to boost cooperation between the two countries.
The main focus was on exchanging best practices to enhance the business environment in Saudi Arabia and attract US companies.
The Saudi Ambassador to the US, Princess Reema bint Bandar, attended the meeting along with Khush Choksy and Steve Lutes from the US Chamber of Commerce.
Additionally, the Saudi delegation visited Georgetown University to learn about collaboration programs and the latest research in entrepreneurship, corporate governance, and compliance.
The Saudi Arabian delegation visited the University of Minnesota for briefings on trade policy analysis, international trade law, economic development, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
They gained insights into addressing challenges and capitalizing on opportunities in these areas.
The delegation also met separately with Stefan Umiastowski of Ecolab and Stuart Jones of Bechtel to discuss potential collaborations.
