The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia has announced the readiness of 185 accredited blood donation centers across the country, equipped to provide safe services that meet the highest quality standards.
This move is part of the national blood donation campaign initiated by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, who set an example by personally donating blood to encourage public participation in life-saving acts.The launch of the annual national campaign has garnered praise from members of the Saudi Council of Senior Scholars, who highlighted its alignment with Islamic values that emphasize generosity and solidarity.
They emphasized that blood donation is a significant humanitarian act essential for saving lives and enhancing public health.According to the Ministry of Health, all citizens and residents are urged to participate in the campaign by visiting designated blood donation centers directly or through the electronic booking service available on the “Sehhaty” application.
The initiative aims to promote voluntary blood donation, achieve self-sufficiency in blood supplies, and ensure a sustainable availability of essential components such as plasma and platelets.
