This Wednesday, the Ministry of Health of Panama ( Minsa ) issued a statement in which it clarifies that to receive the vaccine against COVID-19 it is important to register on the platform https://vacunas.panamasolidario.gob.pa/, emphasizing that this is an important requirement.
The Minsa explains in a statement that through registration, citizens are guaranteed the date and time to apply their corresponding dose.
"They must make their appointment with the registration, but if due to some problem with access to the internet or similar it is not possible to access it, they can go to make the appointment locally," explained Dr. Israel Cedeño, metropolitan regional health director.
Earlier, Dr. Cedeño and the Minister for Health, Eyra Ruiza, pointed out that people over 30 years of age who wish to apply the AstraZeneca vaccine against COVID-19 will be treated at the vaccination centers authorized by the Ministry of Health (Minsa), even if they do not have a confirmed appointment.
They indicated that in each center there is a staff in charge of reviewing the registry of volunteers, and in case they are not there, they can register at the place, for which the person must carry their personal identity card, to validate that meet the established age.
"The Ministry of Health reiterates to the population that it is important to get vaccinated and that it is one more protection, in addition to that the vaccine is a right that every human being has," said the Minsa.
