The Palestinian group Hamas accused Israel of using US aid as a justification for continuing their aggression against the Palestinian people.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to increase military pressure on Hamas and has threatened a ground assault on Rafah, despite international concerns for civilians in the area.

Hamas had carried out an attack on October 7 that triggered the ongoing Gaza war.

The premier made comments a day after the US approved $13 billion in military aid for Israel, despite criticism over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Hamas, who initiated the Gaza war in October, called the aid a "green light" for Israel to continue aggression.

Gaza's civil defence agency found 50 bodies in a courtyard of a hospital since Saturday, with more expected to be discovered.

On April 7, Israel withdrew its ground forces from Khan Yunis following a military operation at the area's largest hospital.

Hamas reported that 50 bodies, some of which were found without clothes, were exhumed from a courtyard mass grave.

Israel's military is investigating the claims, while Hamas described the bodies as victims of torture and abuse.

The nature and purpose of the Israeli operation at the hospital remain unclear.
