Saudi Arabia to Host Chinese Contemporary Art Exhibition in Diriyah
Saudi Arabia is set to host an intriguing exhibition of Chinese contemporary art titled "The Writings of Today Are a Promise for Tomorrow" at the Saudi Arabian Museum of Contemporary Art in Diriyah from late September to January. Featuring over 50 works from more than 30 artists, the show will delve into themes like memory, modernism, and cultural writing, offering a unique blend of sculptures, installations, videos, and more.

In a tragic turn of events, an American woman was fatally shot by Israeli troops during a pro-Palestinian rally in Beita, West Bank on September 6, 2024. This unfortunate incident has prompted calls for an explanation, though the Israeli military has yet to comment on the matter.

Meanwhile, Türkiye’s intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin recently met with Libyan Prime Minister Abdulhamid Al-Dbeibah to address the nation's political deadlock and its impact on oil exports. This meeting underscores Türkiye's support for Libya’s Government of National Unity amid escalating conflicts with eastern factions.

In related geopolitical news, Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have resulted in at least 12 Palestinian casualties. Even amidst ongoing conflict and past struggles, a polio vaccination campaign has resumed, aiming to reach 640,000 children, with 355,000 already vaccinated, highlighting resilience in adversity.

Shifting focus to the United States, former President Donald Trump’s legal team is challenging a jury verdict that found him liable for sexual abuse and defamation. The case brought by writer E. Jean Carroll not only resulted in substantial awards but has also sparked debates over the trial's fairness and evidentiary rulings.

Lastly, in a bid for nuclear safety, UN nuclear chief Rafael Grossi urged restraint during safety talks on the Zaporizhzhia and Kursk plants. Speaking with both Russian and Ukrainian officials, Grossi emphasized the critical importance of keeping nuclear facilities off the conflict agenda while ensuring their stable functioning amidst ongoing tensions.
