Najm, who inherits the legacy of a famous wedding singer, Kaka Al-Qamar, experiences a night filled with surprises, twists, and disturbances.

Desert" is a Saudi film directed by Mahmoud Sabbagh, featuring Abdullah Albarrak as Najm and Marwa Salem as Kola, along with the late Sami Hanafi as Silver, the sound engineer, and Radwan Jifri as Tarefi, the oud player.
This is Sabbagh's third feature film, following "Barakah Meets Barakah" (2016) and "Amra and the Second Marriage" (2018).
"Amra and the Second Marriage" premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2016, making it the first Saudi feature film at the festival and the second from Saudi Arabia to be nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards.

Desert" took place in Saudi Arabia, from Jeddah to the outskirts of Riyadh.
El-Housh Productions, a Jeddah-based independent label founded by Sabbagh in 2016, produced a film with co-production from Nine Projects.
Front Row Arabia handled distribution in Saudi cinemas, while the Arab Radio and Television Network (ART) managed digital distribution in the MENA region.
