Iran's President Warns of Radical Consequences from Israeli Attacks, Vows to Boost Pakistan Ties
Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi warned of potential consequences if Israel launches an attack on Iranian territory during his three-day visit to Pakistan this week.
According to the official IRNA news agency, Raisi stated that such an attack could significantly alter the current situation and potentially eliminate the "Zionist regime."
Raisi's visit to Pakistan comes after tensions between the two Muslim neighbors reached unprecedented levels this year, resulting in military strikes.
On Friday, there were reported explosions over the Iranian city of Isfahan, which sources attributed to an Israeli attack.
However, Tehran downplayed the incident and did not indicate any plans for retaliation.
On April 13, Iran retaliated for a suspected Israeli strike on its embassy compound in Damascus by launching a barrage of missiles and drones at Israel.
Almost all of the attacks were thwarted.
Raisi reaffirmed Iran's commitment to supporting the Palestinian resistance during a speech in Lahore.
Despite the recent tensions, Raisi expressed his intention to strengthen trade relations between Iran and Pakistan, aiming for an annual trade volume of $10 billion.
The two neighbors are working to mend their ties and improve their relationship.
