Increased Rainfall Expected in Saudi Arabia During Fall
National Center for Meteorology forecasts above-average precipitation in most regions.
JEDDAH — The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has released a report indicating that increased rainfall is expected across most regions of Saudi Arabia during this fall.
According to the forecast, which covers the period from September to November 2025, above-average precipitation is anticipated throughout the Kingdom.
Notably, heavy rainfall is predicted in several areas, including Jazan, central and western Asir, and western Najran.
Additionally, Al-Baha, southern Makkah and its highlands, southern and western Madinah, and the southern part of the Eastern Province are expected to experience significant rain showers.In November, above-average rainfall is forecasted for Jazan, southern and central Asir, northern Makkah, and southern Madinah.
The NCM has also predicted that average surface temperatures during fall will exceed normal levels in most regions of Saudi Arabia, with a 70 percent probability of this occurrence.
The maximum temperature increase is expected to reach approximately 0.8 degrees Celsius in parts of Al-Jouf, Tabuk, Madinah, Hail, Northern Borders, and the southeastern part of the Eastern Province.
Other areas will see milder increases, while temperatures are anticipated to remain near normal levels in Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan, and portions of Najran, Makkah, and Riyadh.
