Saudi Health Minister Fahad Al-Jalajel and his delegation met with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez in Havana to discuss enhancing cooperation in the health sector, focusing on increasing both bilateral and multilateral coordination for mutual benefit. Also present at the meeting was Cuban Minister of Public Health Dr. Jose Angel Portal Miranda.
Meanwhile, significant progress has been made in Baku at the third meeting hosted by Azerbaijan’s COP29 presidency, securing nearly $800 million in pledges for the Climate Loss and Damage Fund. This initiative aims to assist communities affected by climate change, with key decisions including the election of the fund's executive director and a hosting agreement with the World Bank.
