Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Initiates Gulf-Wide Conversations on Recent Military Actions
In response to the escalating regional tensions fueled by Israeli and U.S. military actions against Iran, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman has been actively engaging with leaders across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Over the weekend, he made a series of important phone calls to key figures, including Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Additionally, he received a call from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.The conversations centered on assessing the recent regional developments, specifically the implications of Israel's assault on Iran and the subsequent U.S. strikes on key Iranian nuclear facilities.
The discussions underscored the shared concern among GCC states for maintaining unity during what has been characterized as a precarious period for the region.In these dialogues, all participants emphasized their collective dedication to de-escalation strategies, exercising restraint, and addressing disputes through diplomatic channels.
