Saudi Arabia Condemns Suicide Attack on Syrian Church
At least 20 people killed in attack on church in Damascus, Syria.
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has condemned a recent suicide attack on a church in the capital city of Damascus, Syria.
According to reports, at least 20 individuals lost their lives following this violent incident.
The attack is believed to have been carried out by an individual affiliated with the Daesh terrorist organization.
It is alleged that the assailant entered the Saint Elias church and opened fire before detonating an explosive device strapped to his body.
This resulted in significant loss of life and destruction within the premises of the place of worship.
In response to this horrific event, Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry released a statement reiterating the country’s stance against the targeting of religious sites, the harassment of civilians, and the murder of innocent people.
The Kingdom also expressed its support for Syria in its ongoing struggle against all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism.
