French Foreign Minister Warns Against Israeli Offensive in Rafah: 'A Bad Idea with Uncertainties over Humanitarian Issues'
French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejourne advised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against launching an offensive in Rafah, warning that it would not bring about a resolution to Israel's conflict with Hamas.
According to a diplomatic source with direct knowledge of the conversation, which took place at Netanyahu's office in Jerusalem on Tuesday, Sejourne expressed his concern over the potential humanitarian issues associated with such an operation.
He emphasized that the uncertainties surrounding these matters made the idea of an offensive a bad one.
