The Application Gained About 30 Million New Visitors in 3 Months.
Meta's short messaging service, "Threads," an alternative to the "X" application, formerly known as "Twitter," now boasts 130 million active monthly users, according to Meta CEO
Mark Zuckerberg during the presentation of the parent company's first quarter results yesterday (Thursday).
This indicates that "Threads" has gained about 30 million new users in just three months, as reported by the German News Agency.
Meta launched the service in the European Union in December, after months of delay.
Zuckerberg believes that "Threads" has the potential to attract more than a billion users.
"Threads" is linked to the "Instagram" photo and video application, also owned by Meta, thus enabling it to benefit from the connections between hundreds of millions of users.
