Head of the General Presidency for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice Visits Jazan University
The General President of the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Sanad, paid a visit today to Jazan University.
He was warmly welcomed by the Acting President of Jazan University, Professor Dr. Mohammad bin Hassan Abu Rasen.
During his visit, Dr. Al-Sanad delivered an enlightening lecture titled "The Efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Protecting the Youth from Deviant Ideologies."
At the start of his lecture, Dr. Al-Sanad expressed his pleasure at meeting the faculty members, students, and staff at Jazan University, a beacon of knowledge. He highlighted a hadith by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that illustrates the path of Islam as straight and flanked by walls with open doors, draped by curtains, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the righteous path and avoiding the temptations that lead astray.
Dr. Al-Sanad underscored that among the most dangerous ideological deviations are those leading to rebellion against authority, following whims, and unjustly declaring others infidels. He stressed that rebelling against rulers is strictly forbidden in Islam and constitutes a grave sin, noting that such rebellion was the cause of the first major fitna (trial) in the Muslim community. He urged the audience to be wary of these misguided views and those who espouse them.
Concluding his lecture, Dr. Al-Sanad extended his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Jazan Region, and to his Deputy, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz. He prayed for their continued success and well-being.
Additionally, Dr. Al-Sanad thanked the staff and leadership of Jazan University, including the Acting President, Prof. Dr. Mohammad bin Hassan Abu Rasen, faculty members, and students. On this occasion, he received a commemorative shield from the university, and reciprocally, presented a commemorative shield to the Acting President of the university.
