The Riyadh Prince Receives the "International Green Flag Award" Won by Al-Ghat National Park
Al-Ghat National Park becomes the first terrestrial park in the Middle East to achieve the award
His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Riyadh Region, graciously accepted the "International Green Flag Award" on behalf of Al-Ghat National Park, marking it as the first terrestrial park in the Middle East to receive this recognition.
The award was presented during a reception held at his office in the Governance Palace today, attended by Al-Ghat Governor Mansour bin Saad Al-Sudairy, the Regional Director of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Mansour, the retired General Ali Al-Asmari, the Deputy Executive President of the National Center for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification, and members of the center's team.
The prestigious accolade reflects the leadership's dedicated commitment to environmental conservation, aligning with the initiatives of the Saudi Green and Middle East Green campaigns.
The International Green Flag Award was bestowed upon Al-Ghat National Park in recognition of its excellence in managing green spaces, preserving the environment, and providing outstanding services to its visitors.
