Donald Trump Escapes Hush Money Trial to Campaign in Wisconsin and Michigan, Attacks Biden Amid Profanity

Former President Donald Trump held rallies in Wisconsin and Michigan during a break in his hush money trial.
He accused President Joe Biden of weaponizing the courts against him and used profane language to criticize Biden's criminal charges, his 2020 election defeat, and his determination to win reelection.

Trump's speeches included his usual complaints and apocalyptic warnings.

At rallies in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and Michigan, former President Trump criticized President Biden's handling of the economy and immigration.

He also brought up the contentious issue of abortion rights and baselessly accused Biden of being behind the felony charges Trump is facing.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that these indictments are part of a political witch hunt, but has not provided evidence to support this assertion.

A 77-year-old former US president, identified as Trump, made an appearance at his criminal trial to present a confident image, contrasting his courtroom image where he is accused of covering up payments to a porn star before the 2016 election.

Trump is the first ex-president to face criminal charges and has been sitting through long hours of witness testimony, visibly bored and angry at the judge's rules prohibiting public attacks on witnesses, jurors, or court staff.

Outside the courtroom, Trump has been addressing journalists, expressing frustration over his legal problems, the economy, his wife's birthday, and the courtroom temperature.

Political expert Larry Sabato from the University of Virginia commented that President Biden dislikes being in court for his opponent's impeachment trial, feeling powerless.

Biden's campaign has used Trump's legal troubles to taunt him with the nickname "Sleepy Don," referencing reports of Trump nodding off during the proceedings.

Trump and his supporters aim to use the trial to energize their base and criticize Democrats for negligence on border security and poor economic management.

During a rally in Waukesha, Trump accused Biden of being too passive on college protests and allowing the country to be "invaded" by migrants.

Trump has not held any campaign rallies since his impeachment trial began on April 15.

A planned rally in Michigan was canceled due to weather.

Trump expressed frustration about the trial, calling it a "kangaroo courtroom" with a "corrupt and conflicted judge" and a "Biden Sideshow" led by a "Marxist district attorney."
