Biden and Obama-Clinton Fundraiser Raises $25M vs. Trump's Tribute to Fallen Officer Diller

Biden and Obama-Clinton Fundraiser Raises $25M vs. Trump's Tribute to Fallen Officer Diller

On Thursday in New York, Joe Biden prepared for a star-studded fundraiser with former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, while Donald Trump paid tribute to fallen police officer Jonathan Diller who was killed during a traffic stop.
Trump attended the wake and made a solemn statement calling for law and order, avoiding direct criticism of Biden.

In contrast, Biden's event was expected to raise $25 million.

Trump's spokesman, Steven Cheung, stated that Trump would be honoring Officer Diller and his family.

The Three Stooges, referring to President Biden, former President Obama, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, are holding a fundraiser in New York City.

The event will include a debate between the Democratic leaders and will be attended by 5,000 people, as well as celebrity benefactors and performers like Stephen Colbert, Lizzo, and Queen Latifah.

While the fundraiser is taking place, President Biden has offered his condolences to New York Mayor Eric Adams over the killing of Leon Diller, a police officer in the city.

Biden has not directly contacted the officer's family but expressed his grief and continued support for law enforcement.

A high-profile Democratic fundraiser brought together Presidents Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and Joe Biden for the first time.

Guests paid $100,000 for a photo with the trio.

Jeffrey Katzenberg, the campaign's chief fundraiser, stated that the event demonstrated strong support for Biden's reelection and that he would surpass Trump's February fundraising total.

Biden currently has more campaign funds than Trump, who is using some of his supporters' donations for legal expenses related to multiple lawsuits.

Trump's trial for allegedly hiding hush money payments to a porn star during his first presidential campaign begins on April 15 in New York.

The Republican candidate frequently criticizes illegal immigration and his Democratic opponent for being lenient on policing in his campaign speeches.

Simultaneously, he harshly criticizes law enforcement agencies, particularly the FBI, for allegedly pursuing a politically motivated investigation against him, facing 88 felony counts for various criminal allegations.
