RIYADH: Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan recently met with a delegation from the Shoura Council's Saudi-Armenian Parliamentary Friendship Committee, led by chairman Ali Al-Shahrani, during an official visit to Armenia.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the two sides reviewed Saudi-Armenian relations and discussed ways to enhance cooperation across various areas.
This meeting follows a previous encounter in September between Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The two ministers discussed enhancing bilateral relations, regional and international developments, as well as ongoing efforts in these areas.
Subsequently, the two ministries signed a memorandum of understanding on political consultations.
The meetings reflect an increasing focus on strengthening diplomatic ties between Saudi Arabia and Armenia, with both nations exploring opportunities for cooperation in multiple sectors.
