Vaccination by circuit sweep 8-10 begins in the second week of August
The director of the Metropolitan Health Region, Israel Cedeño said that for this vaccination day the vaccination centers will be expanded.
The Ministry of Health (Minsa) expects to start the vaccination day in the second week of August, through the sweep strategy for 16 year olds, in the 8-10 circuit, said the director of the Metropolitan Health Region, Israel Cedeño.
“We hope to start in the second week of August, we are already preparing because we have had a great demand, we are vaccinating more people. In circuits 8-7 and 8-8 we vaccinate almost eighty-five thousand people, that is very positive,” said the director of the Metropolitan Health Region.
Cedeño explained that with the opening of vaccination against covid-19 to people over 12 years old with chronic diseases or disability and sweeps since 16 years, the vaccination centers would have to be re-evaluated and the number of classrooms would have to be expanded.
"It will be communicated a week before the start," he said.
Circuit 8-10 includes the districts of December 24, Las Garzas, Mañanitas, Pacora, Pedregal, San Martín and Tocumen.
According to the latest report of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) to date, 2,292,535 doses of the vaccine against covid-19 from Pfizer and AstraZeneca have been applied in Panama.
