UAE Condemns Israeli Attack and Aggressive Statements Against Qatar
The UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, Reem bint Ebrahim Al-Hashimy, summoned the deputy ambassador of Israel to denounce recent aggression against Qatar.
DUBAI: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned an Israeli attack on Doha and aggressive statements made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against Qatar.
Reem bint Ebrahim Al-Hashimy, the UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, summoned David Ahad Horsandi, the deputy ambassador of Israel to the UAE, on Friday to express this condemnation.The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that the Minister emphasized the UAE's 'strongest denunciation and condemnation' of the Israeli attack, which targeted Qatar and violated its sovereignty.
This action was described as a serious breach of international law, including the Charter of the United Nations, as well as an irresponsible escalation that threatens both regional and global security and stability.Minister Al-Hashimy further stated that the security and stability of Qatar are integral to the overall welfare of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.
Therefore, any attack on a GCC state represents an assault on the collective Gulf security framework, according to WAM.
