Saudi Minister's Visit to Malaysia: Boosting Trade, SME Cooperation, and Innovation
Saudi Arabia's Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, met with Malaysian officials, including Ministers of Entrepreneurship Development and Cooperatives, Agriculture and Food Security, and Works, to discuss cooperation on supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The talks covered training, knowledge transfer, innovation, and sustainability.
The visit was attended by Saudi Deputy Minister of Commerce and CEO of the National Competitiveness Centre, Dr. Iman Al-Mutairi, and the Saudi Ambassador to Malaysia.
A delegation of 30 Saudi officials were part of the working visit.
A high-level Saudi Arabian delegation visited Malaysia to boost bilateral trade and economic partnership.
During the visit, they launched the Saudi-Malaysian Business Council.
Discussions focused on enhancing business facilities, innovation, technology, research, and e-commerce.
The delegation also met with Malaysian businesses to discuss reforms, legislation, and potential partnerships.
The Kingdom's goal is to establish itself as a global hub for trade and logistics services.
A Saudi delegation comprised of senior officials from various ministries and organizations attended a meeting.
The ministries included Trade, Investment, Education, Industry and Mineral Resources, Environment, Water and Agriculture, Rural Municipal Affairs and Housing, Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, Monsha'at, Saudi Data and Intelligence Authority, Saudi Export Development Authority, National Competitiveness Center, Saudi Center for Economic Business, and the Federation of Saudi Chambers, which was represented by businessmen from the national business sector.
The group aimed to discuss and collaborate on various matters.
