Saudi Foreign Minister and US Secretary of State Discuss Strengthening Ties, Urge Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza
On Monday, Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, held a meeting with the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Riyadh.
The encounter took place during ongoing discussions between the GCC foreign ministers and the US, with a focus on reinforcing bilateral ties and addressing pressing regional issues.
During their talks, Prince Faisal and Secretary Blinken assessed initiatives to bolster Saudi-US relations and shared perspectives on the evolving situation in the Gaza Strip, specifically in Rafah.
Both parties underscored the importance of instating an immediate ceasefire and ensuring the delivery of essential humanitarian aid to the impacted regions in Gaza.
Key diplomatic figures were present at the meeting, including Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to the US, Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan, Dr. Manal Radwan, an Advisor at the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mohammed Alyahya, an Advisor to the Foreign Minister.
