Riyadh: The Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants has been awarded the ISAR Honours 2025 for sustainability at a ceremony held in Geneva by the UN Conference on Trade and Development's International Standards of Accounting and Reporting expert team.
This prestigious recognition highlights the organization's commitment to implementing international sustainability standards and enhancing transparency in financial and non-financial reporting.
CEO Ahmed Al-Meghames emphasized that the award is a testament to years of dedicated work in establishing a robust professional and knowledge-based foundation for the organization.
He also noted the strategic importance of translating international sustainability standards into Arabic, which enables nearly half a billion Arabic speakers worldwide to access these standards in their native language.
The Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants holds the exclusive authorization to translate international financial reporting and sustainability standards into Arabic, fostering greater understanding and adoption across the Arab world.
Al-Meghames further pointed out that the Kingdom's Vision 2030 has played a pivotal role in driving institutional and professional development, with transparency, investment, and sustainability emerging as core pillars of the future economy.
In his remarks, Al-Meghames called on stakeholders to leverage the opportunities presented by this rapidly evolving sector and to engage with Saudi Arabia's journey toward enhanced transparency and sustainability.
The ISAR Honours program aims to promote best practices in sustainability and SDG reporting, acknowledging their critical role in corporate annual reports.
