Saudi Authorities Seize 1.06 Million Captagon Pills at Duba Port, Arrest Suspected Recipient
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority in Saudi Arabia successfully prevented the entry of 1,006,518 Captagon pills into the country at Duba Port, located northwest of the Kingdom.
The illicit drugs were concealed within a shipment labeled as "pepper and guava." Following the seizure, coordination was established with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to apprehend the intended recipient of the confiscated items within the Kingdom, who was subsequently arrested.
The authorities expressed their dedication to enhancing Customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to combating smuggling attempts to maintain the safety and security of the society.
Recently, Saudi authorities have taken action against drug-related offenses in various parts of the Kingdom.
In the Jazan region, Border Guard land patrols managed to thwart two separate attempts to smuggle qat.
The first attempt involved the seizure of 120 kg of the substance, while the second attempt resulted in the confiscation of 170 kg.
