Riyadh: Saudi Arabia on Saturday welcomed the signing of the Doha Framework Agreement for Peace between the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the Congolese Tutsi Power Movement (M23).
In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom expressed its anticipation that both parties would uphold the agreement's stipulations.
The accord is envisioned as a step toward fulfilling the aspirations of the Congolese people for security, stability, and prosperity across all regions of their nation.
Additionally, it emphasizes the safeguarding of civilians and the facilitation of humanitarian aid to areas affected by conflict.
