Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, held a meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa in Riyadh on Thursday.
During the discussion, they touched upon the latest developments in the Gazan city of Rafah, as well as ways to enhance cooperation between their respective countries.
The Palestinian government's priorities and work program were also addressed.
Meanwhile, in Rafah, Israeli forces amassed tanks and initiated gunfire near populated areas, according to local residents.
This military action came after US President
Joe Biden warned Israel that he would withhold weapons if its troops launched a significant invasion of the southern Gaza city.
Despite international opposition, Israel has persisted in sending in tanks and carrying out targeted raids in the densely populated border city, which is home to a large number of displaced Palestinian civilians.
