Saudi Arabia's Digital Government Authority Integrates 267 Platforms to Enhance Unified Services
The move aligns with Saudi Arabia's strategic digital transformation goals, aiming to improve user experience and efficiency across government services.
In a significant step towards enhancing the quality of its digital services, Saudi Arabia’s Digital Government Authority (DGA) has announced the closure and integration of 267 digital platforms spanning various government sectors.
This initiative is part of an ongoing effort to streamline user experience and boost digital efficiency within the kingdom.
The decision to close these platforms follows a regulatory framework that includes new governance standards, such as the adoption of shared technical resources like the National Single Sign-On system and e-payment gateways.
Additionally, all platforms are required to conform to the unified design code known as the 'Platform Code,' ensuring a more streamlined delivery of digital services.
The initiative is part of the ‘Inclusive Government’ program launched in 2022, which has successfully reduced the number of government digital platforms from 817 to 550 by the end of H1 2025.
This move aims to optimize resource usage and deliver user-centered digital services, supporting Saudi Arabia’s broader digital transformation goals and enhancing public satisfaction.
The DGA has underscored the importance of collaboration among government entities in managing domains and digital platforms effectively.
A central focus is the national app 'Tawakkalna,' operated by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), which serves as the primary gateway for accessing unified government services.
The authority remains committed to building an integrated digital ecosystem that enhances the performance of digital platforms, thereby improving Saudi Arabia’s position in global digital government indicators.
