Saudi Arabia Introduces Unified Visa Platform 'KSA Visa'
Saudi Arabia has introduced a comprehensive visa platform named 'KSA Visa.' Unveiled during the Riyadh Digital Government Forum, the Assistant Minister Abdulhadi Almansouri highlighted its connection to over 30 entities, streamlining the process for securing diverse visa types such as Hajj, Umrah, tourist, and work visas.
The GOV.SA platform will empower over 50 entities by digitizing key visa processes to enhance visitors' experiences. It features a smart search engine for quick visa access, clear guidelines on application procedures, and maintains a user profile for ease of future applications.
This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia's strategy to boost tourism, targeting 150 million visits by 2030, supported by new tourist attractions. Concurrently, the Gulf Cooperation Council is progressing towards a joint Gulf tourist visa following the Doha Summit decision.
In 2023, Saudi Arabia issued over 18.6 million visas and achieved a 60-second digital visa issuance time. The Kingdom is collaborating with 56 nations on visa digitalization.
For the 2024 budget, goals include raising tourism spending to SR289 billion, reaching 88 million visitors, and job growth in tourism. The Digital Government Authority confirms ongoing digital transformation efforts in line with Vision 2030 to optimize digital services, benefitting both residents and improving quality of life.
