Saudi Arabia Condemns Israeli Incursions into Syrian Territories
Saudi Arabia strongly condemns Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty and international law.
Saudi Arabia has denounced Israeli incursions into Syrian territories, calling them a 'flagrant violation' of the country's sovereignty.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry statement also condemned Israel's interference in Syria's internal affairs.
This condemnation comes amid tensions in the Sweida Governorate and in light of a recent agreement between Syria and Israel signed in 1974.
According to Syrian authorities, Israeli forces sent 60 soldiers to take control of an area near Mount Hermon, which they claim violates their sovereignty and poses a threat to regional security.
However, the Israeli military spokesperson stated that troops only conducted routine operational activity in southern Syria, not in Beit Jinn.
This incident has occurred as both countries engage in US-mediated talks aimed at de-escalating conflict in southern Syria.
