The number of tests reported and the percentage of positivity per day in the first week of September is rising, however the positivity remains below 20%.
Regarding deaths from this virus in the country, Cedeño indicated that every day fewer deaths are reported per day, and after the week of August 31 they continue to fall.
The provinces most affected by COVID-19 continue to be Panama, Bocas del Toro, Veraguas, Colón, Guna Yala and Darién.
Enrique Lau, director of the Social Security Fund (CSS), said that it has been possible to comply with the indicators that allow progress with the reopening of activities, that is, the Rt is less than 1, the fatality is at 2.1% , the availability of beds in the ward is 44% and in intensive care units 47%.
