Public Prosecution: Reporting Drug Crimes Could Result in Exemption from Punishment
Perpetrators of drug and psychotropic substance crimes may be exempt from penalties if they report cases to authorities.
The Public Prosecution recently announced that individuals involved in drug and psychotropic substance crimes can avoid punishment by reporting such cases to the relevant authorities.
This announcement was made through the Public Prosecution's official account on X platform, emphasizing that this policy is outlined in Article 3 of the Anti-Narcotics Law.
According to the statement, there are two scenarios where a perpetrator may be exempt from punishment.
Firstly, if they report the crime before the authorities become aware of it.
Secondly, if their report leads to the arrest of additional perpetrators after the authorities have already been notified.
The Public Prosecution aims to enhance legal awareness and encourage public cooperation in combating drug-related threats to society.
Individuals are urged to come forward and assist law enforcement in this effort.
