Philippine Police Launch Fitness Initiative to Improve Physical Condition
PNP's 'Pulisteniks' program mandates fitness training for officers.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has introduced a new initiative called Pulisteniks, aimed at enhancing the physical condition of its officers.
This campaign, launched this week, requires PNP units nationwide to dedicate Tuesdays and Thursdays to various physical activities, including running, walking, biking, Zumba, and combat sports such as arnis, aikido, boxing, karate-do, judo, muay thai, swimming, table tennis, and taekwondo.
The program mandates adherence to fitness training to ensure officers meet their response time targets and maintain the required body weight standards.
