Kremlin Says No Date Yet for Next Round of Ukraine Peace Talks
The Kremlin has not yet set a date for the next round of peace talks with Ukraine, according to recent reports.
MOSCOW - The Kremlin stated on Thursday that no progress has been made toward setting a date for the upcoming round of peace talks with Ukraine.
This information was conveyed by Interfax news agency.
Additionally, TASS reported that Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin's spokesman, highlighted Russia's support for continued U.S. mediation efforts in the matter.Since resuming negotiations after a hiatus of over three years, both Russia and Ukraine have engaged in face-to-face talks on May 16 and June 2 in Istanbul.
These discussions led to several prisoner exchanges and the repatriation of the remains of deceased soldiers.
However, no advancements have been made toward achieving a ceasefire, which has been a pressing demand from Ukraine alongside its Western allies.
