Saudi Arabia Delivers $30 Million in Financial Assistance to the Palestinian Authority

Saudi Arabia has provided a substantial $30 million aid package to the Palestinian Authority, which is grappling with a severe financial crisis exacerbated by Israeli measures intended to undermine its stability.
The assistance was handed over in Amman on Thursday by Mohammed Mounis, acting chargé d’affaires at the Saudi Embassy in Jordan, to Omar Al-Bitar, the Palestinian minister of finance.The Palestinian Authority, facing significant economic pressures and a reduction in international aid, has seen this contribution as crucial for sustaining essential public services.
The funds are being used to maintain healthcare services, including the provision of medicines and medical equipment, as well as keeping schools operational and paying the salaries of vital personnel such as teachers and administrative staff.Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's support for the Palestinian people dates back several years, with KSrelief reporting that more than $5.3 billion has been allocated to finance over 289 projects.
This ongoing commitment reflects the Kingdom’s dedication to helping Palestinians achieve their right to self-determination and sovereignty.The financial aid underscores Saudi Arabia's intention to maintain its strategic role in supporting the Palestinian government during a period marked by significant economic challenges and humanitarian needs.
The support is also meant to bolster the Authority's capacity to fulfill its obligations towards its citizens.
