Ministers of Communications and Digital Transformation Discuss Expanding Saudi-Japanese Collaboration in Digital Field

Abdullah Al-Sawaha, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology in Saudi Arabia, held a meeting with Taro Kono, the Japanese Minister of Digital Transformation, and his delegation in Jeddah.
The purpose of the meeting was to explore investment opportunities in the digital sector and support the expansion of the digital economy and innovation in both countries.
During the discussion, the two ministers reviewed the progress made on various digital projects and joint initiatives under the Saudi-Japanese Vision 2030.
They expressed a shared commitment to accelerating the adoption of modern technologies in digital government services.
Additionally, they sought to establish research and development centers locally and foster partnerships between the two countries to develop capabilities and build a robust economy that encourages innovation.
