The KSrelief, a Saudi aid agency, continues to make a significant impact by delivering essential support to some of the world’s most vulnerable populations.
The organization has recently implemented various initiatives in Syria, Gaza, and Yemen, addressing critical needs in these regions.
In Syria, KSrelief conducted five week-long medical projects in Damascus, offering a range of surgical procedures and services.
These included cardiac and catheterization procedures, orthopedic and joint surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, pediatric surgery, and blindness prevention.
During the projects, the team examined 5,300 patients, distributed 710 prescription glasses, and performed various surgeries such as 473 eye surgeries, 106 pediatric surgeries, 117 plastic and reconstructive surgeries, 63 orthopedic surgeries, 51 open-heart surgeries, and 54 therapeutic catheterizations.
Additionally, KSrelief distributed 820 food baskets in the Rif Dimashq governorate, benefiting 820 families.
This aid provided crucial sustenance to those in need during a challenging time.
In Gaza, KSrelief’s efforts were supported by the Saudi Ministry of Defense and the Saudi Embassy in Cairo.
The agency dispatched its 72nd aircraft, which delivered food baskets, shelter kits, and electric wheelchairs to Palestinians via El-Arish International Airport in Egypt.
This airlift operation underscored the urgent need for humanitarian assistance in the region.
Yemen also witnessed KSrelief’s extensive support through its prosthetics and rehabilitation center in Seiyun, Hadramout governorate.
Over one month, the center provided medical services to 519 amputees, offering a total of 1,925 services including prosthetic manufacturing, fitting, rehabilitation, physical therapy, and specialized consultations.
Furthermore, KSrelief distributed 1,000 cartons of dates in Marib governorate, reaching approximately 6,000 individuals, including displaced persons and people with disabilities.
This distribution ensured that vulnerable communities received essential nutrition to sustain their well-being.
KSrelief’s continuous efforts demonstrate the importance of providing comprehensive aid to areas plagued by conflict and crisis, aiming to alleviate the suffering of those affected.
