Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has stated Iran's victory over Israel and a blow to the US, marking his first public appearance since the ceasefire.
Tehran — Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei addressed the nation on Thursday, asserting that his country had emerged victorious from recent conflict with Israel.
This marked his first public comments since a US-brokered ceasefire went into effect following 12 days of hostilities.
According to Khamenei, the United States intervened in the fighting because it feared the 'utterly destroyed' Israeli regime if it did not act.
He stated that Washington gained no advantages from the conflict, claiming instead that Iran had dealt a significant blow to both Israel and America.
Khamenei also downplayed the impact of US military strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, contradicting President
Donald Trump's claims of significant damage.
Instead, Khamenei emphasized that these attacks were never truly about nuclear issues but rather an attempt by Washington to force Iran into submission.
