Jordan Provides Medical Aid and Treats Injured Palestinians from Gaza
The Jordanian government and associations continue to send aid to the Gaza Strip, while also providing medical treatment for Palestinian children in need.
Jordanian humanitarian efforts have seen 50 aid trucks dispatched to the Gaza Strip on Thursday, along with dozens of Palestinian children sent to receive medical treatment in Jordan.
Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, chairman of the Private Hospitals Association, confirmed that 35 sick and injured children from Gaza, accompanied by 72 carers, were admitted to several private hospitals in Jordan as part of the Jordanian Medical Corridor initiative.
Since March, this initiative has facilitated the entry of 112 injured and sick children into Jordan, along with 241 guardians, according to Dr. Al-Hammouri.
Additionally, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization sent a humanitarian convoy of 50 trucks loaded with essential food supplies to the northern part of the Gaza coastal enclave on Thursday.
This move comes as Northern Gaza experiences severe shortages of food and essential supplies due to disruptions in aid delivery and Israeli attacks.
Jordan has played a significant role in supporting Palestinians in Gaza, delivering more than 7,815 aid trucks and 53 cargo planes through the Egyptian port of Arish since late 2023.
Furthermore, Jordan conducted early airlift missions to deliver relief to Gaza and has been among the first countries to do so.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire, with over 58,000 Palestinians reported killed in Israeli strikes on the territory.
Human rights groups and several heads of state have described these strikes as genocide.
Despite this, Jordan's efforts continue, aiming to provide both medical aid and essential supplies to those affected by the ongoing conflict.
