The 5th International LabTech Conference and Exhibition is set to commence on Monday in the region of Jazan.
Organized by the Jazan Industrial Chemistry Society, this event brings together a diverse group of leading scientists, researchers, and industry experts from around the world.
The conference aims to explore the latest breakthroughs in laboratory technologies, analytical sciences, and their industrial applications.
The three-day conference will encompass pre-conference training courses themed around 'Innovations in Laboratory Technology: Advancing Quality, Efficiency, and Expertise.' Among the prominent attendees are Morten Meldahl, the 2022 Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry, and Richard Zare, a professor at Stanford University and recipient of the 2011 King Faisal International Prize.
Notable participants also include Abdullah Al-Suwailem, Senior VP of Manufacturing at Aramco; Dorothy Phillips, President of the American Chemical Society; Saad bin Mutlaq, CEO of Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Co.; Ahmed Al-Rawahi, Adviser and President of the University of Nizwa in Oman; and Saleh Al-Amri, CEO of the Gulf Laboratory.
The conference will feature an impressive lineup of 25 international and local speakers, along with over 30 regional and international partners.
Attendees can expect to engage with 15 specialized scientific sessions, five applied workshops, and about 40 exhibitors from major organizations.
Training courses offered at the event include advanced troubleshooting for analytical instruments such as GC, HPLC, and ICP, as well as best practices to ensure consistency between laboratory analysis data and online analyzers.
