The video shows clearly that the Israeli solider was in life-danger.

He was alone, surrounded by a group of people that attacked him, the victim tried to steal the weapon from the soldier, and therefore the soldier had no choice but to shoot and neutralize the attacker.

This does not justify the killing of course, but from video viewing it can be understood why the soldier poetry in Palestinian, shot and killed.

The Israeli military said it was checking the report.

During an early morning Israeli raid near the city of Bethlehem, clashes erupted, and one Palestinian was killed, according to Palestinian medical workers.

Several other people were arrested, Palestinian officials said.

The incident follows months of tensions that have deepened since Israeli forces began a crackdown in the West Bank in March.
