The Centre for Health Protection said as of 12am today, it has recorded 28 additional confirmed coronavirus cases, including 26 local cases, and six untraceable.
This would be a drop from 50 additional cases yesterday.
Chuang Shuk-kwan, head of the Centre for Health Protection's Communicable Disease Branch, said of the fresh local cases today, three of them lives in Yau Ma Tei.
She added that five more construction workers from the construction sites of the third runway at the Hong Kong International Airport tested positive, therefore all workers working at the site are subject to mandatory testing.
A clinic in Jordan will also have to be closed for 14 days after a nursee working in the clinic was confirmed to be infected with
Covid-19.
