Governor of Madinah Inaugurates 12th Cultures Festival: Unity, Understanding, and Islamic Values
Prince Salman bin Sultan, the governor of Madinah, inaugurated the 12th Cultures and Peoples’ Festival on Monday.
The goal of the festival is to promote communication, unity, and understanding among people, encourage teamwork, and strengthen Islamic values.
It supports dialogue, coexistence, and peace among nations and fosters communication between university students and the local community.
The Islamic University of Madinah organizes the event, which runs until May 6.
During the inauguration ceremony, the acting president of the university, Hassan Al-Oufi, highlighted that over 100,000 students from more than 170 countries have graduated from the university, significantly contributing to societal development.
The International Students Festival at the University of Jeddah gathers students from 95 countries to showcase their cultures and traditions.
The event fosters unity between the East and West and offers over 40 activities for families, children, and the community.
These activities include celebrations of Saudi coffee, Arabic poetry, tea, and the Year of the Camel 2024, as well as educational, cultural, and entertainment sections.
