Over 5.5 Million Worshipers Performed Prayers at the Prophet's Mosque Last Week
Last week, the Prophet's Mosque welcomed over 5,548,288 million worshipers and visitors, amid comprehensive services provided by the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque to serve and care for them.
In a statistical report about the overall services offered to the worshipers and visitors at the Prophet's Mosque during the past week, the General Presidency revealed that 677,687 visitors had the honor of greeting the Prophet peace be upon him and his two companions may Allah be pleased with them. Furthermore, 259,944 male and 130,832 female visitors performed prayers in the Rawdah Sharif, according to the organizational procedures followed in regulating crowds and scheduling visits for men and women.
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque reported that 9,172 elderly and persons with disabilities benefited from the services designated for them last week. Additionally, the number of visitors from various nationalities who benefited from the multilingual communication services reached 106,477. Meanwhile, 8,196 individuals took advantage of the educational services available at the library of the Prophet's Mosque, whereas the exhibitions and museums welcomed 1,787 beneficiaries. Also, 213,187 assorted gifts were presented to male and female visitors, in addition to 27,243 guidance and direction services through the unified number and communication channels, among the available services for the care of worshipers at the Prophet's Mosque.
The field services included the provision of location guidance for 122,446 beneficiaries, while mobility services between the squares and doors of the Prophet's Mosque were offered to 45,146 visitors. Moreover, more than 180,880 bottles of Zamzam water were distributed, in addition to the distribution of 52,808 meals for breaking the fast in the designated areas for fasting individuals in the Prophet's Mosque.
