Apple Announces May Event for New iPad Devices, Expected Upgrades Include Screens, Updated Pencil, and Processor Improvements
Following the launch of its groundbreaking Vision Pro glasses earlier this year, the American technology giant Apple is preparing to unveil its second product of the year at an event scheduled for May 7th.
Apple has started sending invitations to media members for this special Apple event, with the invitation image featuring the Apple Pencil, indicating that the iPad devices will be the focal point of this virtual event.
According to rumors, the iPad Pro version will receive several enhancements, including an OLED screen with a slight increase in size to 13 inches for the larger model, an updated M3 chipset, and the much-anticipated reintroduction of horizontal orientation for its front camera.
Speculations also suggest that there might be a new Apple Pencil and a redesigned Magic Keyboard, featuring an aluminum body and a larger trackpad.
This event marks the longest waiting period for new iPad models since Apple first entered the product category.
Bloomberg also reports that updated iPad Air devices might be unveiled, including a larger size, measuring 12.9 inches. This comes as the current stock of the iPad Air is reportedly diminishing in Apple’s retail stores, indicating that the upgraded model may soon be released.
