Mohammed bin Nasser Launches the First International Conference on "Neonatal Medicine"
Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of the Jazan region, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Governor, inaugurated today the first International Conference on "Neonatal Medicine 2024." The event, organized by Jazan Health in partnership with the Saudi Neonatal Medicine Society, is being held at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Jizan city.
His Highness toured the conference's accompanying exhibition, getting acquainted with the latest technologies used in neonatal medical services.
The president of the society and conference, Dr. Mohammed bin Hassan Hakami, gave an opening speech in which he outlined the conference's goals to enhance knowledge and medical skills related to neonatal medicine and to foster cooperation between local and international experts. The aim is to achieve the best medical practices and advance research in the neonatal field. He emphasized the Saudi Neonatal Medicine Society and Jazan Health's efforts to improve medical services provided to newborns, highlighting the conference's focus on the main challenges and complications facing premature infants and ways to treat them.
The ceremony included a visual presentation about the target audience, the chairpersons, and the speakers participating in the conference, which will last for three days. The conference features six scientific seminars and specialized workshops with the participation of a host of specialists from inside and outside the Kingdom.
His Highness honored the participants in the organization and the cooperating entities. The event was attended by the Director-General of Jazan Health, Dr. Awaji bin Qasim Al-Naami, and several officials.
