Double-decker Bus Crashes Outside London's Victoria Station, Hospitalizes 15
Fifteen people were hospitalized after a double-decker bus crashed outside London’s Victoria Station. Two others received medical treatment at the scene.
LONDON: A double-decker bus accident occurred in the early morning rush hour near Victoria Station, one of London's busiest transportation hubs.
The collision resulted in fifteen individuals being hospitalized, with two more treated on-site by medical professionals.
No life-threatening injuries have been reported.
The driver of the involved route 24 bus was among those injured.The scene was captured on footage showing the bus with a shattered windshield, accompanied by police cars, ambulances, and a fire engine in response to the incident.
Witness Emit Suker described the bus as traveling at high speed before veering off the road.
The bus reportedly contained around 15-16 passengers who were audible in their distress.The Metropolitan Police is actively investigating the crash and has requested that witnesses provide any phone or dashcam footage related to the event.
No arrests have been made thus far.
Victoria Station, a key junction for rail, subway, and bus traffic close to Buckingham Palace, typically sees high volumes of commuters and tourists.
Since 2021, there have been two fatalities involving buses near this station.
