Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr has finalized the signing of Colombian striker Jhon Durán from Premier League side Aston Villa for a record €77 million.
The 20-year-old forward successfully passed his medical examination in London, paving the way for his high-profile move to the Riyadh-based club.
Durán is expected to debut for Al Nassr in their upcoming AFC Champions League match against Al Wasl (UAE) on Monday at Al Awwal Park.
In a video shared by the club, it was revealed that Durán will wear the No. 9 jersey, previously worn by club icon Majid Abdullah.
Durán has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with Al Nassr, receiving an annual salary of €15 million.
His move to the Saudi club follows an impressive season at Aston Villa, where he scored 12 goals in 29 matches, including seven as a starter.
Since joining Aston Villa from Chicago Fire in January 2023 for £17 million, Durán has netted 20 goals in 78 appearances, earning a reputation as one of football’s most promising young strikers.
