Ahmed Al-Suwailem: Experienced Economist Leads Saudi Arabia's Non-Profit Sector Development
Ahmed Al-Suwailem became CEO of the National Center for Non-Profit Sector in 2022.
He brings over 20 years of experience in economics, trade, finance, and banking to the role.
His responsibilities include growing the non-profit sector's impact on social and economic development, coordinating government efforts in licensing, financial supervision, and coordination.
Previously, Al-Suwailem served various roles including CEO of the National Anti-Commercial Concealment Program at the Saudi Ministry of Commerce, adviser to the Saudi Minister of Commerce, and secretary general of the Riyadh Chamber.
He also worked in financial planning and control at Saudi Investment Bank and financial control at Gulf International Bank.
Al-Suwailem is a prominent business figure in Saudi Arabia, currently serving multiple roles including managing director and board member at the Riyadh International Exhibition Center, board member of the General Authority for Awqaf and the Associations Support Fund, trustee of the Riyadh Economic Forum, and member of the executive committee for remuneration and compensation at the Riyadh Chamber.
He holds advanced degrees in finance and accounting from George Washington University and King Saud University, respectively, and is certified in management accounting, public accounting, international financial reporting standards, and exhibition and conference management.
