2,000 Religious Leaders Convene in Kuala Lumpur for
The Malaysian prime minister, in collaboration with the Muslim World League (MWL), is set to host an international conference for religious leaders in Asia, which will be the largest of its kind in Asia.
The conference, named "Promoting Harmony Among Followers of Religions," is scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia, on Tuesday.
Approximately 2,000 religious and intellectual figures are expected to attend the event from 57 countries, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
The Malaysian Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, and the MWL Secretary-General, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, will participate in the conference.
The conference will focus on themes such as pluralism, tolerance, moderation, education, bridge-building, and inclusivity.
Its objectives include highlighting the role of religion in promoting world peace, enhancing solidarity among peoples, and exploring civilizational cooperation.
The conference will also launch initiatives based on the Makkah Declaration and promote religious values.
